One who understands and appreciates the disciplic succession is certainly advanced, and we should always be very careful to give full respect to those who have so carefully handled this Divine Fruit of transcendental knowledge before us. Even a slight change will spoil it. That is why I have always been so careful to give you only those things which I have heard from my Guru Maharaja.
Vrndavana, India August 1967 Letter to: Devotee & Hamsaduta
HKC (Hare Krishna Community) is an indian-based community in Jaipur and outside of the city. Many people considering them strict followers of Srila Prabhupada.
But something seems to be totally wrong in their community as they are observed to be distributors of the BBTI! Besides original books they are distributing changed books from BBTI like the Bhagavad Gita, Srimad Bhagavatam And Krishna Book.
“Simply because there is no stock of books, we can do anything whimsically??? Is this logic?“(Letter: Bhargava, May 29, 1976)
Recently in an official statement HKC were even claiming to distribute the original books of Srila Prabhupada (of course no mentioning of the changed ones):
“Here at HKC Jaipur we accept Srila Prabhupada as the only Diksha guru. We read and distribute Srila Prabhupada’s original books, and devotees here are listening to Srila Prabhupada’s audio recordings throughout the day.”
Funding BBTI with buying books from them
With selling many Gitas and Krishna Books they are supporting the BBTI in a financial way. And that they are doing since years! If we really want the original books we have to stop buying and advertising them with ur preaching. Otherwise we are greatly offending Srila Prabhupada!
[…] If one becomes an offender to his spiritual master or the Supreme Personality of Godhead, he falls down to the material platform to merely speculate.”
“As soon as there is a little impurity, the whole thing will deteriorate and go to HELL. We shall not like to take the credit in that case, therefore I am praying simply that all of you, my advanced disciples, GBC men, Temple officers, will become sober-minded.” (SPL December 29,1972)
